Last workshops of this year probably Part2

tijdens onze workshops word je begeleid om bomen net dat stapje beter te brengen.

Hier ook een prachtige Olijf van Greta. de tak-structuur was rommelig, dus is het belangrijk om je boom terug te zetten en deze te verbeteren, dat gaat de boom in de toekomst  net dat beetje beter maken. Takken die naar onder groeiden zijn verwijderd, takken die naar boven groeiden zijn ingekort deze hebben we nodig om volume te creëren. Snoei een olijf altijd terug op bladen die lateraal staan zodat deze knoppen daarna laterale ramificatie geven.

Here is a beautiful olea from Greta. The branch structure was a bit messy, so this was an important step to cut it back and improve it. Im future the tree will benefit from cutting is back, cause a little detail like that can make the tree that bit better. Branches that were growing down were removed, branches that were growing upwards were reduced because we need them to create volume. You always have to cut back an olive were the leafs are lateral, so you will get lateral growth and ramification.

Deze Juniperus werd naar ons gebracht voor onderhoud. al het lelijk en niet krachtig loof werd verwijderd als ook alle groei die naar onder groeide. Daarna werd de boom uit bedraad en alle takken uitgezet om voldoende licht en lucht binnen in de boom te krijgen.

This Juniper was brought to us for maintenance. all the ugly and not powerfull foliage was removed and all the growth that was growing down. Afterwards the tree was wired and all the branches were fanned-out to create light and air into the tree.

De volgende boom is een pinus sylvestris yamadori van Dirk. De boom was elders al min of meer in positie overgezet zonder aan de wortels te prullen.Ook werden takken in raffia gezet zonder over het design te denken en werd er dood hout gemaakt. En was foto 1 gekozen als voorzijde.

the next tree is a scots pine yamadori of Dirk. The tree was worked on more of less somewhere else. They had put it into another position without working on the roots. also raffia was aplied on some branches without thinking of the design and deadwood was made. Picture one was made as the front.

Bij ons zijn bepaalde stappen het belangrijkste. Deze zijn dat je eerst je basis moet hebben en die begint bij de wortelvoet en de stam, dit begint bij een compositie te maken waarin je boom de meest interessante beweging vertoont, mooiste bast en karakter vertoont en balans creëert. Als je boom dan nog niet in balans is dat kan je dit doen door de stam eventueel te buigen. nu was dat bij deze boom niet nodig.

At Yama Bonsai some steps are important. these are that you first have to work with the base and that starts with the roots and the trunk, it starts with making a composition were the tree shows the most interesting features like nice movement ,  great bark and character and creating balance. If your tree is not in balance you can adjust this by bending the trunk and so on, that was not necesary for this one.

Wij kozen voor de voorzijde op foto 2. de nebari is hier niet mis, de boom vertoont veel karakter en beweging in de stam. Stap 2 is het werken aan de “bones” zoals ze dat noemen. dat zijn je primaire takken in de juiste positie zetten en je stamverloop. Als deze in positie staan kan je verder.

We had chosen for picture 2 as the front, the nebari is not bad, the tree shows much character and movement in the trunk. After that we can work on step 2 and that are setting the “bones” like we call it. What means we are shaping the primary branches and continuation of the trunk/apex. if these are in position we can continue.
